About Pillars of Light
Pillars of Light for Literacy and Civic Engagement is the nonprofit foundation behind Blessings Boutique Thrift Store. Our mission is to strengthen our community through compassion, education, and support. We believe in giving people the tools and encouragement they need to grow, heal, and thrive.
Promoting Literacy
We’re dedicated to helping children and families discover the joy of reading. Every child who visits Blessings Boutique can choose a free book at checkout. We also collect and distribute donated books to schools and local families to promote literacy and lifelong learning.
Cancer Support & Healing Space
Blessings Boutique was founded by a breast cancer survivor who understands the challenges of recovery. Our store serves as a safe and welcoming space for those undergoing treatment and for survivors to connect, share advice, and support one another. Visitors can stop in for comfort, encouragement, or a listening ear.
Civic Engagement & Community Outreach
We encourage positive community involvement through volunteer opportunities, awareness campaigns, and outreach programs. Each quarter, we share updates through our Pillars of Light Newsletter, highlighting community stories, events, and ways to get involved.
